Seeking experienced ASL interpreters to provide exceptional customer service and support through web-based video remote interpreting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret between ASL and spoken English in a timely manner.
* Respond to inbound sessions promptly and professionally.
* Assist clients with basic troubleshooting, referring complex issues to the manager or IT department as needed.
* Provide outstanding communication and customer service skills.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, including video and web-based ASL recorded translations.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
1. Maintain licensure and certification requirements as applicable.
2. Adhere to the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Code of Professional Conduct.
3. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
4. Exhibit professional phone manners with clients from various industries.
5. Be available to work flexible schedules to meet 24/7 demands.
6. Familiarity with Windows environment (MS Office suite, remote connections).
7. Hold RID certification and proof of current registration in the region.
8. Have experience working with VRS or VRI systems.
9. Possess PC troubleshooting skills.
10. Maintain a high school diploma or equivalent.
11. Display a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
12. Work effectively in fast-paced environments.
13. Possess at least 5 years of interpreting experience.
