What you will do. A glimpse in your role:
Are you passionate about writing clean, efficient code? In this role, you will take ownership of developing and supporting .NET/C# applications, delivering high-quality solutions across the full Software Development Lifecycle.
As a Senior Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the technology behind Global Blue’s Tax Free Shopping product offerings. You’ll collaborate in an agile, forward-thinking environment, working with cutting-edge tools and technologies to drive innovation for the global market leader in our industry.
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated developer who is eager to make an impact and grow with a dynamic team.

* Take ownership of the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of applications
* Actively contribute to technical reviews, proposing architecture improvements, technology upgrades, and enhancements
* Conduct research and evaluate emerging software technologies and tools
* Implement and advocate for best practices, coding standards, and delivery methodologies, ensuring compliance throughout the software development lifecycle
* Thrive in an Agile team environment of 6–9 members, contributing to collaborative and iterative development
* Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Development Leads, and Product Managers to align functionality with business needs
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and engage in regular code reviews
Key competencies to empower your journey. You'll drive towards success if:
Experience & Education
* University degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, MIS) or equivalent technical education
* Minimum 7 years of experience in a professional software development environment
* Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and strong .NET development skills
* Proven hands-on experience with Agile methodologies in a multi-division or international company
* Extensive experience designing and implementing SOAP/REST APIs
* Practical knowledge of Testing and Continuous Integration practices including TDD, and automated unit/functional/integration testing
* Solid grasp of Software and Enterprise Design Patterns
* Proficient in MS SQL Server or similar technologies, especially performance optimization
* Strong communication skills in English (oral and written), especially in technical contexts
Preferred Technical Skills
* Expertise in C# (.NET 8 or .NET Core)
* Experience with Web API / RESTful services
* Deep understanding of MS SQL Server, including complex legacy stored procedures
* Familiarity with internet security principles
* Knowledge of RabbitMQ or similar messaging architectures

* A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities
* Comfortable working in a multi-cultural, international environment
* Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%)
