Operations & Community Manager — Outsite Ericeira
Role Overview
The Operations Manager at Outsite is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across multiple properties (approx 40 rooms & dorms).
This role blends hospitality, property management, and events organisation to deliver a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Property Operations
Oversee daily operations across Outsite Ericeira locations
Ensure properties meet brand standards for cleanliness, design, and functionality
Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and vendor relationships
2. Guest Experience
Monitor and improve the end-to-end guest journey (booking ? stay ? checkout)
Handle escalations, complaints, and special requests
Ensure a seamless, community-driven experience for members
Provide on-call support for any property-related emergencies
3. Team & Vendor Management
Manage local teams (cleaners, maintenance staff)
Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners
4. Performance monitoring
Use tools (property management systems, OTAs, reviews, etc.) to track performance
Analyze KPIs like occupancy rates, guest satisfaction, and cost efficiency
Conduct weekly inspections to ensure maintenance and cleanliness standards are met
5. Financial Oversight
Track expenses, and operational costs
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising experience
Support revenue optimization (pricing, occupancy strategies)
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with reservations, operations, design and marketing teams
Requirements
3+ years in operations, hospitality, property management, or similar
Experience managing multiple locations, hotels or short term rentals
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
Fluency in English & Portuguese (additional languages a plus)
Experience with tools like PMS platforms, Notion, Slack, etc
Preferred Qualifications
Background in coliving, hostels, or boutique hospitality
