We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee all technology, systems, and software operations for a hotel based in Albufeira, Faro .
The ideal candidate must come strictly from a hotel background and be currently based in the Faro / Albufeira region .
This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted hotel operations, system security, and continuous improvement of hospitality technology.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all hotel IT operations, systems, and infrastructure
Oversee hotel software platforms including PMS, POS, RMS, CRM, and channel management systems
Ensure stability, security, and performance of hotel networks, servers, and Wi-Fi systems
Act as the main liaison with IT vendors, software providers, and support partners
Provide hands-on support and training to hotel teams across departments
Manage system integrations between Front Office, F&B, Finance, HR, and Housekeeping
Ensure compliance with GDPR and hotel data security policies
Plan and execute system upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery procedures
Support pre-opening projects or technology upgrades when required
Candidate Requirements Proven experience as an IT Manager within a hotel environment (mandatory)
Currently based in Faro / Albufeira, Portugal (mandatory)
Strong knowledge of hotel systems such as Opera / Fidelio / Protel / Mews / Oracle / Micros
Solid understanding of hotel operations and guest-facing technology
Experience in resort or high-volume hotel operations preferred
Fluent in Portuguese and English
Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills
