We are recruiting an
AI Engineer (Speech & NLP Systems)
to join a leading team in the
automotive technology sector
, driving the development of intelligent, resilient, and production
ready voice and language capabilities.
Lisbon (hybrid model)
Direct contract with the client
What you will do
Develop and integrate end
to
end speech and NLP pipelines, including ASR, NLU, and intent/slot models.
Improve system robustness across noise conditions, accents, and diverse real
world environments.
Support language understanding and dialog behavior to enable natural, accurate interactions.
Optimize models for latency, performance, and resource limitations, including embedded or constrained systems.
Define evaluation strategies for speech and NLP quality, including dataset curation and performance tracking.
Collaborate closely with QA and platform teams to ensure production
level reliability and stability.
What we are looking for
Strong experience with speech or NLP systems.
Hands-on knowledge of ASR and NLU pipelines.
Experience with model evaluation, dataset creation, and quality measurement.
Strong proficiency in Python and major ML frameworks.
Understanding of real
world deployment constraints and optimization strategies.
Experience working with voice assistants, conversational systems, or dialog engines.
Experience with edge AI or embedded ML deployments.
Multilingual or locale
specific NLP experience is a plus.
