Cloud & IT Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud & IT Manager to provide leadership and hands-on management of Cloud & IT functions within our organization. This role ensures that IT aligns with business goals, supports compliance requirements, optimizes cloud resources with a strong level of automation, and maintains a secure and efficient technology environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Infrastructure and Cloud Management:
Manage and optimize the company's Azure Cloud infrastructure.
Support the full development team with DevOps knowledge (e.g. automation of deployments, setup of infrastructure for new components, etc.).
Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of IT systems to agreed SLAs.
Monitor and manage cloud resources, focusing on cost efficiency and performance.
Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure systems and data are backed up and can be restored promptly.
Test and update recovery procedures regularly.
Continuous improvement of our infrastructure.
Information Security:
Maintain comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and ensure incident response readiness.
Protect the organization against cyber threats and data breaches.
Support SOC2 and PCI compliance efforts, especially on the technology aspects.
IT Management:
Develop and implement the company's IT strategy, aligning it with business objectives.
Provide a voice to leadership for IT investments and infrastructure.
Lead approved internal IT projects, from planning to execution, ensuring they meet business needs and timelines.
Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
Monitor IT expenditures and seek cost saving opportunities.
Forecast future IT costs and investments.
Evaluate, select and manage vendors, contracts, and service agreements.
IT Operations and Support:
Oversee day-to-day IT operations to ensure reliable and efficient IT service delivery.
Manage IT support, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and provide support to staff.
Maintain an inventory of all IT assets, including laptops, servers, and other equipment.
Ensure regular maintenance, updates, upgrades and security measures for laptops and other devices.
Main Requirements:

Works well with others and helps the entire team be successful on common goals.
Technical Proficiency:
Solid engineering background, preferably in Microsoft technology stacks and deep hands-on knowledge of Cloud technologies and especially Azure.
Database Knowledge:
Solid experience with SQL for either SQL Server or Azure SQL.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical details and work collaboratively with stakeholders and team members.
Hands-on attitude:
Comfortable implementing changes directly.
Process Improvement mindset:
Always looking for how to improve our infrastructure and IT management, including automation wherever possible.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in similar roles with both Cloud and IT management.
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub and Teams.
Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
