We are looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join the Electronic Equities team of an international banking project, contributing to the development of an ultra-low latency algorithmic trading platform based in Lisbon.In this role, you will work on highly performant real-time systems, helping design and develop new algorithmic trading models, frameworks, and exchange connectors.
You will collaborate with global teams in a fast-paced and technically demanding environment, contributing across the full platform lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesPlatform Development- Develop modules, components, and utilities for a high-performance eTrading platform.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of algorithmic trading models and exchange connectivity solutions.
- Build reliable, scalable, and low-latency systems optimized for real-time trading environments.Platform Lifecycle & Operations- Take ownership across the platform lifecycle, including:- Development- Support- CI/CD processes- Bug fixing and troubleshooting- Ensure platform stability, performance, and maintainability in production environments.Architecture & Engineering- Apply strong software engineering principles to complex distributed systems.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, technical improvements, and performance optimizations.
- Work with modern C++ standards and best practices to deliver efficient and maintainable code.Requirements- 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with C++ (11/14/17/20).
- Solid knowledge of STL and Boost.
- Strong understanding of:- Software architecture- Data structures- Algorithms- Experience working in Linux environments, including tools such as:- cmake- gcc- gdb- Experience with real-time systems, high-load platforms, or trading systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in technically demanding environments.Nice-to-have- Knowledge of Python or Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with the FIX protocol.
- Previous experience in electronic trading platforms or financial systems.
- Exposure to low-latency and high-frequency trading environments.
