NoOffer Description 1 (one) Research Fellowship (BI) for Master StudentScientific Area : Physics or Engineering Physics.Admission requirements :Bachelor's degree in Physics or Engineering PhysicsAdditional optional skills and qualifications : Knowledge of optoelectronic device physics. Experience in the characterization of optoelectronic devices.Contracting requirements : Presentation of the academic qualifications and/or diplomas, if applicable. Enrolment inMaster in Physics or Engineering Physics.Work plan :Characterization of optoelectronic devices for application in neuromorphic circuits based on semiconductor devices incorporating double‐barrier quantum well structures; investigation of the electrical, photodetection, and emission properties of these structures, and the development of numerical models of such devices and of the circuits based on them.Place of work : The work will be developed at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, under the scientific supervision of Professor José Figueiredo.Fellowship duration : This position is initially opened for 3 months due to start in April 2026. The fellowship contract may be potentially renewed for 6 months.Monthly allowance : The fellowship amounts to €1040,98, according to table values of the fellowships awarded directly by the FCT, IP. The fellowship holder will have a personal accident insurance and can ensure the right to social security through adherence to the voluntary social insurance scheme, if not covered by any other social protection scheme, pursuant to C ódigo dos Regimes Contributivos do Sistema Previdencial de Segurança Social. The fellowship will be paid monthly by bank transfer.Evaluation and selection process : Candidates will be assessed bya) CV (70%) and b) motivation letter (30%). The jury may conduct an interview with the top 3 (three) candidates in total of criteria a) and b). If there is an interview, the final evaluation will be obtained considering the following percentages: a) CV (50%), b) motivation letter (20%), c) interview (30%).
