You'll be based at our Portuguese site in
Castelo De Paiva
, but you'll frequently travel to our headquarters in Belgium and other Decospan locations across Europe. Collaboration knows no borders here.
As a
Mechanical Design Engineer,
you will:
* Design and adapt machines in SolidWorks (3D) and AutoCAD (layouts).
* Translate concepts into technical drawings, calculations, and machine specifications.
* Make material selections, strength calculations, and drive system specifications.
* Work closely with process engineers, project leaders, and local teams, while coordinating across our European sites.
* Follow up with suppliers and support assembly and commissioning on site.
* Create spare parts designs to maintain our international inventory.
What We're Looking For
* A bachelor's or master's degree in (electro)mechanics or a related technical design field.
* At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in machinery or production equipment.
* Strong skills in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
* Fluent English is a must; other European languages are a plus.
* A hands-on, proactive mindset – you enjoy seeing your designs come alive on the factory floor.
* Willingness to travel regularly within Europe (Belgium HQ + other Decospan sites).
