We are in search of an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in the beautiful city of Funchal, Portugal. As the Executive Chef you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our culinary operations including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. Responsibilities Develop and create innovative menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect the hotel's brand. Oversee food purchasing and inventory management to ensure high‐quality while controlling costs. Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation. Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or catering services. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times. Requirements Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant setting. Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and current industry trends. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‐paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Fluent in English; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef or 2 years as an Executive Chef. Proven track record of creating successful menus and managing kitchen operations. Salary We offer a competitive salary of $1,300 per month plus benefits.
