Project Consultant for EU Development Cooperation
The role of this project consultant is to support the Department of National Planning and Monitoring in the identification, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of EU development cooperation.
This assignment aims to provide expert advice to the department on how to effectively implement EU-funded projects that align with their strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing technical assistance to the department on project design, management, and evaluation
* Supporting the identification of potential EU-funded projects that align with the department's strategic objectives
* Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement effective project management strategies
* Monitoring and evaluating project progress and providing recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A post-graduate degree in economics, planning, business administration, or a relevant field
* At least 12 years of professional experience in EU development cooperation
* Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and spoken
* A track record as a team leader, preferably in developing countries
* Experience working in PNG and the Pacific region is an asset
