The Role: Senior SQL Server DBA
Location: Lisbon
Work Model: 2 days a week onsite - Lisbon

Languages: English (B2 - C1)
Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there
We are looking for an experienced Senior SQL Server DBA to join our team.
This role is ideal for a professional with strong technical expertise, focused on availability, performance, and security in mission-critical environments.
Your Profile
7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA
Proven experience in high availability and critical production environments
Strong skills in performance tuning and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with Azure SQL and infrastructure
Experience with automation and continuous improvement practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage Microsoft SQL Server **********) environments- Design, implement, and support high availability solutions:
-AlwaysOn Availability Groups
-Failover Cluster Instances (FCI)
-Log Shipping and Replication
Manage backup and restore processes (native and Commvault)
Administer Windows Server environments
Develop automation using PowerShell scripting
Work with Azure SQL (PaaS, IaaS, Managed Instances)
Perform performance tuning (DMVs, wait stats, execution plans)
Implement High Availability & Disaster Recovery strategies
Ensure security and compliance (TDE, auditing, GDPR)
Monitor and troubleshoot using tools such as:
-SSMS, SCOM, Redgate, Grafana
Create and maintain technical documentation and standards
Handle incident management and operational support
Provide mentorship to junior team members
Collaborate in Agile environments
