About the TeamAs an Architect inside the Network Engineering department, you will act as a Solution Architect for new products, services and technologies at 1GLOBAL, serving as the main point of contact for internal and external customers.
You will work closely with Product and Marketing, as well as with various technical stakeholders and vendors, to shape, design, test, and implement new solutions.
The Architect is responsible for leading the requirements-analysis process, refining scope in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that a solution can be documented, planned and implemented.
About the RoleResponsibilities for this role include leading and executing a wide range of technical and design tasks, while maintaining high quality and regulatory compliance.
Iterate with customers (internal and external) and other stakeholders to determine technical requirements, risks, impacts, and recommendations.
Design new consumer and corporate telecom solutions.
Collaborate with technical teams to define reliable, modular, scalable, and customer-centric solutions;
plan and review solutions.
Present solutions in documents and workshops, identifying impacts, efforts, and required resources.
Conduct market prospecting by elaborating and analysing RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and negotiating with potential suppliers.
Track emerging technology trends in the telecom industry and identify relevant solutions for the product portfolio.
Define and monitor the company's technological evolution roadmap.
Document the existing technology portfolio and propose recommendations for improvement or alternatives.
Ensure and control documentation quality (HLDs, LLDs, WOs, etc.).
Ensure implementation quality and understand end-to-end system testing requirements.
Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Perform capacity and performance analysis, reporting, and improvement solution definition.
Work on complex solutions that influence current product designs and address future design challenges;
enhance, simplify, and optimise existing applications and processes.
Elevate engineering maturity to match state-of-the-art functional and non-functional standards.
Communicate transparently across the business.
Engage with other teams to align and drive continuous improvement.
RequirementsMust-haves
Excellent understanding of mobile networks and their architectures.
Experience with MVNO architectures and landscapes;
familiarity with roaming environments, including technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects.
Solid knowledge of networking principles & protocols, including security.
Experience with network protocols such as MAP, CAMEL, SIGTRAN, DIAMETER, SIP.
Knowledge and experience of OCS and Gy/Sy interfaces.
Experience with VoLTE and VoWiFi.
Experience with LTE, 5G, IMS, IP technologies and protocols.
Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and virtualization technologies.
Experience with HLDs and LLDs;
ability to develop and present internal and external documents.
Experience with 5G Core Mobile Networks.
Experience with monitoring tools and protocols in mobile networks.
Ability to anticipate problems and address them before impact.
Understanding of how big-picture goals inform technical details and vice-versa.
Ability to work in complex, multicultural, multi-country, geographically distributed environments.
High attention to detail;

Degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
