Lead, implement and improve prototypes ready for production/outsourcingLead the Development team spanning spectroscopy and related optical-based technologies (needs refining to set the scope?
)Hands-on lab work for testing and verification of new designs.Work closely with data scientists and bioclinicians to develop technologies that are aligned with customer requirements.Identify and propose mitigation of technical risksInterpret experimental and performance data to ensure that goals are met.Specification and vendor interaction for custom components.Requirements Strong expertise in applied physics, engineering, optics, photonics or related fields with a demonstrated ability to take a breadboard prototype towards production.Proven experience working in an experimental setting, ideally collaborating with data scientists, interdisciplinary scientists and engineersGood analytical skills and mathematical understanding.Hands-on experience with optics component characterization and product integrationExperience with designing, building and optimizing optical instruments or methods that combine electronics, optoelectronics, fluidics and automation.Experience with working with ISO + QATrack record of working in (interdisciplinary?)
