We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our development team. As the Director of Development, you will be responsible for leading and managing high-performing teams, translating business objectives into clear technical architecture, functional specifications, and execution plans.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing project development teams and leads to ensure strong performance, accountability, and alignment to project and business goals
* Providing technical leadership across architecture, platforms, integrations, and complex custom development
* Ensuring high standards of code quality, architectural consistency, performance, security, and scalability
* Collaborating closely with Digital Strategy, Design, Project Management, and Development teams to maintain alignment with the intended architecture and provide ongoing technical clarification post-kickoff
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in web development, engineering, or technical leadership roles
* Proven experience leading development teams and senior engineers within a digital agency or professional services environment
* Strong hands-on experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
* Proven experience delivering complex custom websites, platforms, integrations, and ecommerce solutions
Skill Set:
* Excellent English speaking and writing skills with strong client-facing communication
* Ability to work directly with clients, Sales teams, and internal stakeholders
* Strong understanding of web architecture including front-end, back-end, databases, servers, and integrations
