Job Description SUSE is building solutions that enable digital sovereignty. The Global Sovereign Solutions team, part of the CEO's office, defines direction for sovereignty‐related initiatives across our portfolio. We need a Full Stack Software Engineer who not only builds software but also drives strategic sovereign themes into tangible, deliverable solutions that eventually land within core product teams. You will build initial sovereign solutions—ranging from automated compliance tools to domain‐specific OS tuning—then navigate them through fast iteration cycles until ready for integration into SUSE's broader product landscape.ResponsibilitiesBuild working versions of sovereign infrastructure solutions using AI and modern frameworks to move from a strategic requirement to a functional deliverable.When a solution is ready for scale, land it with core engineering teams (e.g., Cloud Native, Edge, or Linux) for 3 to 6 months, acting as the lead contributor to ensure it is successfully integrated and launched within the product unit.Translate sovereign policy and market needs into technical specifications, considering the entire SUSE stack and identifying where sovereignty‐native features should be baked into the kernel or orchestration layer.Own the output: write clean, maintainable code, set up deployment pipelines, and produce documentation for other teams to take over and scale the work.Collaborate daily with product managers and engineers across the company to align solutions with SUSE's long‐term technical roadmap.Skills and Experience5–6 years of experience in high‐velocity technical environments, responsible for solving complex problems independently.Technical Stack:Languages: strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and JavaScript; experience with Python and Vue.js for full‐stack prototyping is highly valued.Infrastructure: mastery of Kubernetes, containers, and infrastructure‐as‐code (Terraform, Pulumi).Cloud Native: deep experience deploying and managing applications across cloud providers and on‐premise environments.A self‐starter who can operate in a flat hierarchy and turn technical challenges into clear, deliverable paths forward.Enthusiastic about new AI tooling, actively learning how to use agents to augment capabilities and accelerate delivery.What We Offer We empower you to drive your career and build the future you want.
