Opportunity: Engineer | Aircraft Flight Dynamics (m/f/d)
This role will be integrated into the Aeronautics team.
1. Collaborate closely with the Aerodynamic and Aircraft Performance teams to propose aircraft configuration optimizations to the Project Management Team.
2. Cooperate within a team to improve tools and processes and share knowledge/information.
3. Develop reliable flight mechanics models, vehicle simulations, and tools for handling qualities necessary for the development of a new aircraft.
4. Organize and lead all flight dynamic simulation activities required during the full product lifecycle of a new aircraft program.
5. Produce all documentation needed for certification.
6. Support aircraft development, including certification phases, and participate in potential in-service optimization campaigns.
7. Assist with flight dynamic data requests from marketing or other departments.
8. Support flight test campaigns to achieve aircraft certification.
Minimum Qualifications:
* M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in Flight Control Systems and Flight Mechanics across the full lifecycle of aerospace projects.
* Good knowledge of aerodynamic simulations, aircraft mission performance, and propulsion systems.
* Strong programming skills in C#, C++, VBA, Matlab, Python, FORTRAN, and experience with Matlab/Simulink for modeling.
* Hands-on experience with Requirement Management tools (e.g., IBM Doors).
* Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, independently, and demonstrate initiative.
