We’relooking for a highly skilled Data Engineer / Tech Lead to lead themigration of data pipelines from Snowflake to Databricks. This is a criticalrole for a tech-savvy professional with a strong background in dataengineering, distributed computing, and leadership.
WhatYou'll Do:
* Lead end-to-end migration ofdata pipelines from Snowflake to Databricks.
* Design, build, and optimizeETL workflows and data processing pipelines.
* Work closely withcross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure smoothmigration.
* Apply data engineering bestpractices to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability.
* Identify and implementcost-optimization opportunities for data infrastructure.
* Lead and mentor a team ofdata engineers in an Agile environment (Scrum).
* Ensure coding qualitythrough real-time testing (Python, SQL, Tableau).
Must-HaveSkills:
* Fluent Portuguese and English(C1 level or higher).
* 4+ years of experience indata engineering or business intelligence roles.
* Proficient in Pythonand SQL (validated via live coding tests).
* Strong experience with ETLorchestration tools such as Airflow, Flink, Oozie, or Azkabanon AWS or GCP.
* 4+ years working with distributeddata ecosystems (e.g., Spark, Hive, Druid, Presto).
* Experience with Snowflake,Redshift, PostgreSQL, and Tableau.
* Excellent understanding ofdatabase design and performance tuning.
* Strong leadership andcommunication skills to guide and support the engineering team.
WorkSchedule:
* Align with either:
* Eastern Daylight Time(EDT):14:30 – 22:30 (Lisbon) / 09:30 – 17:30 (Client Time)
* Pacific Daylight Time(PDT): 17:00– 01:00 (Client Time – preferred) / 09:30 – 16:00 (Client Time)
