Profile of the candidate
We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join the IT Ops & Cloud team within the IT Ops & Security department.
This role will focus on implementing and managing Security and DevOps practices to streamline IT operations and software development, fostering collaboration and automation.
What will you be doing?
* Solid understanding of security concepts, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.
* Experience with integrating security best practices at every stage of the SDLC.
* Manage and monitor the organisation's infrastructure, including provisioning, scaling, and maintaining bare metal servers, virtual machines, and cloud resources in MS Azure.
* Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar
* Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
* Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and deployments.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of Security & DevOps practices and toolchains.
* Stay current with the latest DevSecOps /Devops technologies and trends.
What we expect from you?
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience (3+ years for Regular / 5+ years for Senior) as a DevSecOps/DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
* Experience in DevSecOps & Devops principles and practices.
* Experience in MS Azure cloud platform and services.
* Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
* Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
* Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
* Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana and Datadog).
* Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash and PowerShell).
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Fluency in written and spoken English.
Nice to have
Relevant certifications such as:
* ITIL v4 Foundation or higher
* Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or higher
* Azure DevOps Engineer or higher
* Experience with SQL Server and MySQL databases administration.
* Proficiency in information security principles, cybersecurity best practices, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Top Critical Security Controls).
