As a seasoned accounting professional, you will take on the role of Senior Accounting Manager to spearhead the finance operations at our organization.
We are looking for an individual who excels in building efficient processes and making informed decisions that drive growth. Your responsibilities will include architecting the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay motions, automating financial systems, and developing a robust chart of accounts.
You will work closely with leadership to establish a comprehensive general ledger system, implement month-end close procedures, and design a revenue recognition process aligned with ASC 606 standards.
A key objective is to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and forecasting. You will also be responsible for implementing procurement-to-pay processes, including AP automation, vendor onboarding, and expense policy management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GAAP, experience with cloud-based accounting systems, and advanced Excel skills. They will be able to read contracts, propose billing and journal entries, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Key Objectives:
* Design a SaaS-appropriate chart of accounts and own the GL (QBO)
* Run a reliable month-end close (target ≤10 business days): reconciliations, accruals/reclasses, variance analysis
* Translate MSAs/SOWs/order forms into billing rules and revenue schedules (ASC 606); manage deferred revenue
* Implement procure-to-pay: AP automation, expense policy, Delegation of Authority, vendor onboarding
* Build a 13-week cash forecast, budget vs. actuals, and a monthly KPI pack (ARR/MRR, gross margin, NRR/churn, CAC, LTV, payback, runway)
* Research and document basics of sales tax for digital services and other compliance items; coordinate with external tax advisors
What You'll Bring:
* 4–8+ years hands-on accounting (startup/SaaS/IT preferred) owning GL, AR/AP, and monthly close
* Working GAAP knowledge and eagerness to master ASC 606; can read contracts and propose billing + journal entries
* Systems mindset with experience implementing QBO and automation across billing, AP, spend and payroll
* Advanced Excel; strong documentation and communication
