You'll own and become the subject matter expert in areas of our product and technology stack, guiding others and setting technical standards.What You'll Do- Take ownership of team architecture, providing a system-wide view and design guidance.
- Simplify existing systems by consolidating redundant processes, removing outdated code, and updating documentation.
- Write exemplary, clean code that motivates your team to follow best practices and maintain high quality.
- Drive engineering engagement best practices, including Operational Excellence, Security, and Quality, setting standards across teams.
- Resolve root causes of systemic problems, including bottlenecks that limit innovation across teams.
- Influence software decisions and build consensus when confronted with differing opinions.
- Contribute to the professional development of colleagues, improving technical knowledge and engineering practices.
- Lead large projects, dividing work effectively across team members for cohesive project delivery.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing excellent customer support when required.Who You'll Be- Experienced in building and designing highly scalable, fault-tolerant, always-available systems.
- Proficient with a broad range of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Knowledgeable about relational and non-relational databases, messaging queues, and concurrency.
- Experienced with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Passionate about automation using scripting languages (e.G., Shell scripts).
- A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Experienced in driving operational excellence, best practices, and shipping high-quality products.
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies.
