Role Summary
As a Senior Software QA Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring quality by designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying bugs, and working with our development team to improve our product reliability and user experience. Your key responsibilities include creating and managing QA/QC plans and systems, developing and executing test procedures (both manual and automated), collaborating with our development team, and acting as a final gatekeeper for software quality before it reaches our users.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience
* Expert level with Python
* Be autonomous and motivated
* Appreciate the skill of building automated solutions and scaling your impact via lean practices.
* Care about business impact and prioritize projects, being pragmatic and business oriented.
* To communicate nuanced ideas clearly, whether you're explaining technical decisions in writing or brainstorming in real time. In disagreements, you engage thoughtfully with other perspectives and compromise when needed.
* Practical experience with GIT or other version control systems.
* Practical experience with Jenkins/Github or other CI/CD platforms.
* Proven ability to multitask, excellent decision-making, prioritization and organization skills.
Nice to have:
* Experience building analytics tools (Optimizely, Split, VWO, ABTasty) or at least test them as a user
Responsibilities
* Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing functionality testing for all areas of our product;
* Responsible for designing test plans for new features and regression test cases;
* Work on project management, risk management, and process management tasks;
* Support implementing test tools and collaborate with the team to build up internal tools/frameworks/platforms to make the team more productive;
* Track defects and manage bugs during the whole software development cycle.
