Join Appning! Appning is a single entry to 23 different car brands experiences. Connects OEMs and App Developers to help build the future of connected cars. Alongside OEMs, we create a personalized experience that meets clients’ demands and expectations, ensuring home-to-car continuity and an ongoing link with the outside world through our scalable and adaptable solution. We are looking for an Android Software Developer willing to take up one of the greatest challenges in the automotive industry!
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement cohesive, user-friendly features for Android-based in-car applications.
* Improve and maintain the in-vehicle Apps Store platform with a focus on usability and performance.
* Work closely with Senior Android Developers, QA Engineers, and Backend Developers throughout the development lifecycle.
* Analyse logs and debug issues to identify root causes, especially those related to third-party application behaviour.
* Participate in support activities with a problem-solving mindset, ensuring system stability and user satisfaction.
* Write clean, scalable code and contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.
* Respect and ensure, in a daily approach, the correct and full implementation of the Forvia Code of Ethics.

* Perform other tasks that are similar or functionally connected and for which he/she has the required qualifications and competencies to help achieve the goals of the team/organization.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
* 3+ years of professional experience in Android application development using Kotlin and Java.
* Proven experience with RESTful API integration.
* Solid understanding of multi-threading and asynchronous programming in Android.
* Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience working in agile and cross-functional development teams.
* Familiarity with Android development best practices and debugging tools.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with GIT version control systems.
* Exposure to Android OS internals, including ADB and system customization.
* Knowledge of Android Automotive OS and Android Car APIs.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Android projects.
