Overview
SOTEC Consulting is seeking a skilled and motivated AWS Python Developer to play a pivotal role within Agile delivery squads, contributing to both transformation initiatives and business-as-usual (BAU) activities. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and supporting cloud-native solutions for Contact Centre platforms, with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and automation.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience developing AWS Lambda–based solutions using Python, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and working within CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Amazon Connect and related services is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a core contributor within Agile squads, supporting both transformation programs and BAU delivery.
* Design, develop, and maintain AWS Lambda functions using Python to support Contact Centre solutions.
* Build and implement Amazon Connect solutions, including Contact Flows and Amazon Lex bots.
* Ensure all solutions comply with security standards, governance policies, and industry regulations.
* Implement Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation, SAM CLI, and related tooling.
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows to support continuous integration and delivery.
* Participate across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, architects, and operations teams.
* Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
* Strong experience developing and implementing AWS Lambda functions using Python .
* Practical programming experience in Python (mandatory) and exposure to Java and JavaScript .
* Proven experience delivering Amazon Connect solutions, including Contact Flows and Amazon Lex development.
* Solid understanding of the SDLC, including software design, security, cloud-native architectures, and Infrastructure as Code.
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices and Git-based workflows.
* Experience with AWS continuous delivery tooling such as CloudFormation and SAM CLI .
* Strong understanding of AWS architecture and cloud fundamentals.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice-to-Have Skills
* AWS certification(s).
* Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum and/or Kanban, with tools such as JIRA and Confluence .
* Training or hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
* Prior experience in Contact Centre environments, including IVR systems.
