Aubay Portugal is a multinational French company, in Portugal since 2007. We have offices in Lisbon and Oporto and we are a specialized consultant in Management, Implementation, Development and Maintenance of Information Systems. What are you going to do?
* Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure finance and regulatory requirements are well understood and implemented;
* Collaborate with finance, accounting, and regulatory reporting departments to gather and analyze business requirements;
* Translate business needs into functional and non-functional specifications;
* Work closely with IT to design, validate, and deliver solutions aligned with finance/accounting needs;
* Participate in testing phases (SIT, UAT) – including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking;
* Support project planning, scoping, and risk analysis for finance-related initiatives;
* Ensure all solutions are compliant with regulatory and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, Basel III);
* Lead or facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders;
* Contribute to change management, including training, documentation, and user support during rollouts;
* Continuously monitor processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
What are we looking for?
* Fluent in English and French (minimum B2);
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
* 5–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking sector, focused on finance and accounting;
* Strong knowledge of financial instruments, general ledger, P&L, balance sheets, and regulatory reporting;
* Solid understanding of accounting standards such as IFRS or local GAAP;
* Experience with core banking systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Avaloq, Temenos) and finance tools;
* Proficient in project lifecycles using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies;
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business and IT stakeholders;
* Preferred: Knowledge of Basel III, FINREP, COREP, data governance, ETL processes, data warehouses, and Power BI;
* Business Analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are an asset.
