We are looking for a Field Service Technician / Biomedical Field Engineer to support a project-based assignment (6–9 months) focused on the inspection, safety testing, and technical verification of medical devices across hospitals and clinical sites.
This role is suitable for professionals seeking freelance, contract based, full-time or part-time project work in a clinical environment.
Your Role
Carry out on-site checks, inspections, and technical verification of medical devices in hospitals and clinics
Ensure devices operate safely and in line with local medical device regulations, standards, and hospital procedures
Perform or support functional tests, safety tests, and preventive maintenance activities
Document results accurately in maintenance or asset management systems
Coordinate with clinical staff, biomedical departments, and hospital management
Escalate technical issues and coordinate follow-up actions or repairs where required
Work across multiple clinical sites, depending on project needs
What You Bring
Qualification in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering Technology
Minimum 2 years of experience working with medical devices, ideally in hospitals or clinical environments
Alternatively, background as an Electronics / Electrical Technician with relevant medical device experience
Practical experience in medical device testing, inspection, servicing, or maintenance
Familiarity with medical device safety, quality, and compliance standards
Confident user of MS Office and digital documentation tools
Ability to work independently and reliably in a project environment
Strong communication skills when interacting with clinical and non-technical stakeholders
Good English skills
Valid driving license (required for multi-site hospital work)
Own car
Willing to travel extensively within country
