Overview
The Muñoz RG conducts both fundamental and application-oriented research on materials and devices for energy storage and conversion.We are looking for a qualified Research Scientist to join our team and work under the project HEADsupercap
Job Duties
The job duties will be the following:
* Perform the R&D activities as planned in the EU project HEDAsupercap for development of asymmetric hybrid supercapacitors;
* Collaborate with other academic and industry partners within the consortium on joint R&D;
* Report to supervisor on R&D and team progress;
* Project reporting;
* Publish project results and communicating the results in project/professional meetings;
* Engage in other project dissemination activities;
* Prepare project proposals;
* Keep a safe laboratory environment.
MandatoryQualifications
Education
* PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Nanotechnology, or other related field.
Experience and Technical Skills
* Profound knowledge on materials development for energy storage;
* Relevant experience with supercapacitors;
* Extensive knowledge of capacitor chemistry and electrochemical performance assessment;
* Experience with implementing safety protocols;
* Experience supervising other researchers.
Other Valued Skills
* Experience in European project management;
* Capacity to execute research plans with strict timeline and deadlines;
* Data management and observation of dissemination protocols;
* Waste management;
* Experience with materials scale-up.

* Supervision of other team members and teamwork;
* Good communication skills;
