Your Role
The Senior Data Governance Specialist will lead strategic data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across the organization. This role will serve as a key advisor for data policies, standards, and processes, fostering a data-driven culture and ensuring that data is managed as a critical enterprise asset.
Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, LGPD) and internal security policies.
Define and monitor data quality metrics and KPIs.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align data governance strategy with organizational objectives.
Oversee data cataloging, classification, and lineage processes.
Support the implementation and adoption of data governance and data quality tools.
Drive awareness and training programs to promote data governance best practices.
Participate in data governance councils and provide expert guidance for strategic projects
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related fields.
5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or related disciplines.
Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Talend).
Familiarity with data privacy and protection regulations (GDPR, LGPD).
Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Advanced English proficiency.
