IPOPI is a non-profit international association and the leading advocate for primary immunodeficiency (PID) patients worldwide working in collaboration with patients, doctors, politicians, regulators, pharmaceutical industry and other relevant stakeholders.
IPOPI is the Association of national PID patient organisations dedicated to improving awareness, access to early diagnosis and optimal treatments for primary immunodeficiency patients worldwide through global collaboration.
POSITION SUMMARY
Join a small and enthusiastic team in a growing and increasingly active international patient advocacy organisation. Take an active project management role in IPOPI’s support programmes dedicated to our National Member Organisations (NMOs). Support the organisation of national and regional meetings in collaboration with our events team. Be the contact person for all NMO inquiries. Position based in Estoril, Portugal. Reports to the Executive Director.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Liaising with IPOPI’s NMOs to ensure optimal communication between IPOPI and its membership, liaising with IPOPI’s Board regional representatives in target regions
· Managing NMO support programmes including training programmes, membership meetings, workshops & awareness campaigns and prepare activity reports
· Providing information to NMOs
· Managing support to NMOs and Associate Members including advice on their activities
· Helping establish new national member organisations in prioritized geographies
· Managing and coordinating membership surveys and preparing survey reports
· Managing global NMO support activities (Global Patients Meeting, AGM, social media) in collaboration with IPOPI’s events and communications teams
· Providing policy and advocacy support on select projects
· Other tasks as required including communications and research programmes support
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· University degree.
· Must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish and other languages helpful.
· Previous 3-4 years’ work experience in project management in an international environment preferable
· Strong organisational and planning skills, as well as the ability to multitask.
· Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive tasks to completion
· Team player: Contributes actively to shared goals and maintains excellent workplace relationships.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
