Summary: The primary objective of this role is to ensure the quality and reliability of new features and fixes within portal applications before they reach production, focusing on manual testing processes.Responsibilities:
Perform manual functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing on web-based portal applications.
Review user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements from a QA perspective.
Identify, document, and track defects clearly and precisely.
Validate fixes and ensure issues are resolved without side effects.
Challenge requirements to uncover edge cases and risk scenarios.
Work closely with developers during refinement and implementation phases.
Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure test coverage aligns with business needs.
Participate in sprint ceremonies (refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives).
Contribute to improving QA processes, test documentation, and quality standards.
Create and maintain manual test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.
Support regression test packs for portal releases.
Ensure test evidence and documentation are clear and auditable when required.
Advocate for quality across the team, not just at the end of development.
Support risk-based testing approaches in a fintech environment.
Ensure portal functionality is reliable, user-friendly, and compliant with expectations.
Must Haves:
Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester, with a strong focus on manual testing.
Experience testing web applications/portals.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile/Scrum.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to write clear, structured bug reports and test documentation.
Comfortable working in English in an international environment.
Nice to Haves:
Basic knowledge of API testing (e.G., Postman) to support end-to-end flows.
Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services environments.
Familiarity with test management tools (e.G., Jira, Xray, TestRail, Zephyr).
Exposure to automated testing (not mandatory, but a plus).
Understanding of security, data privacy, or compliance-driven systems.
