The Director of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of all engineering systems within the hospitality and leisure department. This role requires expertise in the Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry to ensure the highest standards of safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction.
Description
Oversee the maintenance and operation of all engineering systems and equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards within the Leisure, Travel & Tourism sector.
Develop and manage the department's budget and resources efficiently.
Coordinate with other departments to address engineering and maintenance needs.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Lead and mentor the engineering team to achieve operational excellence.
Evaluate and recommend upgrades to systems and infrastructure.
Ensure environmental sustainability practices are integrated into engineering operations.
Profile
Degree or Technical Certification in Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
Proven experience in an engineering leadership role within the Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry;
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards;
Excellent organizational and project management skills;
Ability to lead and develop a team effectively;
Proficiency in managing budgets and financial resources;
Commitment to sustainability and energy-efficient practices;
Fluent in English.
