About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Accounting & Tax to lead the company's financial reporting, accounting operations, and tax strategy.
This role is critical in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all financial processes in a dynamic, fast-paced tech environment.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting and tax knowledge with hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), the ability to lead teams, and a high degree of rigor in process optimization. Experience in a Big Four firm is required to ensure strong technical foundations and exposure to best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting Leadership
* Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, revenue recognition, and fixed assets.
* Ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual closings.
* Maintain and enforce robust accounting policies and internal controls.
* Lead the audit process with external auditors and manage documentation and compliance workflows.
2. Tax Management
* Corporate, indirect, and employee tax compliance across all relevant jurisdictions.
* Preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax laws.
* Manage tax planning strategies and assess risks and opportunities.
* Interact with tax authorities and external advisors on audits, clarifications, and rulings.
3. Budgeting & Planning
* Lead the preparation, coordination, and consolidation of the annual budget.
* Monitor budget execution and provide periodic variance analysis.
* Partner with FP&A and business units to support forecasting, scenario analyses, and long-term planning.
* Ensure data integrity and alignment between actuals and budget across functions.
4. Systems & Process Optimization
* Serve as the internal expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), ensuring best-practice usage across modules.
* Lead process improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and integration projects within BC and related systems.
* Support data governance and ensure high-quality financial information for reporting and analysis.
5. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and tax team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Work closely with FP&A, Operations, Legal, HR, and Product teams to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
* Provide financial insight and technical expertise to support decision-making and corporate development activities.
Requirements
Technical Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CA, ROC, CTA, or equivalent) preferred.
* Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a Big Four firm (audit and/or tax).
* 8+ years of total experience in accounting and tax, preferably in tech, SaaS, or high-growth environments.
* In-depth knowledge of local accounting standards and tax frameworks.
* Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including configuration, process mapping, and workflow optimization.
