We are currently partnering with a global organisation to hire a high-calibre Transformational Project / Programme Manager to support a complex, fast-paced transformation programme.
REMOTE BUT MUST BE IN PORTUGAL
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured execution, planning, and delivery, and enjoys bringing clarity and control to ambiguous, multi-stream environments.
This is a key role supporting the global Head of Core HR Transformation for 65,000 employees worldwide. This organisation is currently building two Global Shared Service Centres in Europe & South America.
This position can either be a permanent position or a fixed-term contract; both salary, no freelance day-rate.
You will play a critical role in building and managing the programme structure, ensuring delivery is on track across multiple workstreams. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, planning, and reporting, rather than heavy stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building and managing end-to-end project and programme plans from scratch
* Tracking progress, risks, and interdependencies across multiple workstreams
* Creating and maintaining reporting tools, templates, and governance packs (e.g. Steering Packs)
* Supporting leadership with timely, accurate insights and data
* Strengthening and scaling programme frameworks to support future transformation initiatives.
* Ensuring the projects which last up to 2 years are on track and up to speed.
What We're Looking For:
* (8+ years) Proven experience as a Project or Programme Manager within transformation environments
* Experience working in GBS Global Business Service Transformations
* Strong capability in planning, scheduling, and execution tracking
* Experience working across complex, multi-stream programmes
* Ability to build structures and frameworks in ambiguous environments
* Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven delivery and reporting
* Exposure to technology or AI-related programmes (coordination level is sufficient)
* Full right to work in Portugal, remotely with some international travel
* Experience within HR (P&C), Finance, IT, or Shared Services environments is beneficial but not essential.
* Experience in the coordination of AI implementation topics (bonus)
Working Style (very important):
* Hands-on, delivery-focused, and detail-oriented
* Comfortable working behind the scenes to drive execution
* Not reliant on constant stakeholder interaction or meetings
Why Apply?
This is a chance to play a key role in a global transformation programme, building scalable frameworks that support future growth.
