Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding, or assembly related topics, ensuring processes operate at optimal levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, with extensive knowledge of associated manufacturing processes, including the optimization and standardization of stamping, molding, or assembly processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable TE business unit plants to meet TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs), and advise plants on tool and machine improvements. They design and develop manufacturing processes and automation platforms for new product development and existing product optimization. They also support Product Development in tool selection and process optimization, ensuring manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp-up, including support for R&D teams in producing sample manufacturing equipment, product samples, and prototypes.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Support advanced technologies, manufacturing concepts, and standardization projects in stamping across locations.
2. Drive data-based initiatives for continuous process improvements, cost reduction, efficiency, and safety upgrades.
3. Create future stamping process concepts focusing on cost efficiency, simplification, and Lean principles.
4. Oversee stamping die and process progression into production in collaboration with local Toolshop and stamping departments.
5. Develop and implement best practices in stamping.
6. Support the development of future stamping process concepts, including digitalization opportunities.
7. Share benchmarks within the Stamping EMEA AUT community using internal and external sources.
Required Background:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
2. Strong knowledge of stamping processes and concepts.
3. Several years of professional experience in automotive stamping.
4. Management experience is advantageous.
5. Data-driven, systematic approach (e.g., Six Sigma, Red X, Datamaster).
6. Interest in new technologies and an open mindset.
7. Lean manufacturing background.
8. Experience in international project management.
9. Willingness to travel 25-50%.
10. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
