Are you a hands-on project professional with experience leading business-focused initiatives across corporate functions? We're looking for a Project Services Lead to join a high-performing internal consulting team that partners with key business units to deliver strategic projects across a global enterprise.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, and who enjoys enabling operational excellence through well-governed, people-first project delivery.
The Role
As Project Services Lead, you'll play a central role in shaping and executing business unit projects across areas such as HR, Finance, Operations, and Compliance. You'll lead a small team of project professionals, ensuring high-quality execution, structured delivery, and effective stakeholder engagement across all initiatives.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, helping translate business needs into structured project plans that drive measurable outcomes. This is not a purely IT delivery role – we're looking for someone with experience in leading operational and business change projects at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of projects across core business functions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Line manage a small, skilled team of project resources, providing oversight, coaching, and performance support.
- Develop and maintain delivery frameworks, templates, and best practices to ensure consistent execution.
- Partner with key stakeholders across functions to define project scopes, milestones, and resource needs.
- Ensure risks, issues, and dependencies are effectively identified and managed throughout delivery.
- Promote and embed change management practices into all business-led initiatives.
- Report on progress, KPIs, and business outcomes to senior leadership.
About You
- Proven experience in leading operational or business transformation projects (non-IT).
- Previous responsibility for managing small project teams or mentoring junior project professionals.
- Strong understanding of project governance, stakeholder engagement, and internal consulting practices.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- A strategic thinker who can also get hands-on to ensure delivery gets over the line.
- Familiarity with project/change frameworks such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile is advantageous.
Why Apply?
- Join a purpose-driven, collaborative team shaping real business change.
- Work in a modern, hybrid environment with a Lisbon city-centre office.
- Gain exposure to global stakeholders, diverse business units, and high-impact initiatives.
- Excellent development potential within a growing internal consulting function.
