About The Role
As the Reporting & Analytics Lead at STG, you will play a pivotal role in managing and evolving our business controlling, data & insights, and manufacturing costing functions. This leadership position requires strong expertise in finance and business acumen, as well as a passion for driving process excellence and delivering strategic insights. Reporting to senior management, you will lead a diverse team of specialists, empowering them to optimize financial performance and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 7 professionals including business controllers (commercial and operational), business intelligence analysts, and costing process analysts. Foster a collaborative culture that values continuous learning, open communication, and high performance. Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to support career growth.
Financial Controlling and Reporting: Oversee the accuracy and quality of financial reporting related to commercial areas (brands, markets) and operational segments (stock, manufacturing costs). Collaborate closely with finance business partners to enhance controls and streamline processes, aiming for greater automation and reliability in financial insights.
Support to Finance Business Partners: Prepare comprehensive business summary reports, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses using tools such as Jedox, enabling finance teams to effectively monitor financial health and operational efficiencies. Conduct detailed variance analyses including purchase price variances, inventory management, and procurement savings.
Business Analytics: Utilize advanced analytics capabilities leveraging Power BI and SAP platforms to develop meaningful and actionable financial reports. Your insights will facilitate timely and informed decision-making at various organizational levels.
Manufacturing Costing Management: Lead standard cost calculations and costing runs while collaborating with global finance partners to refine and maintain costing policies. Ensure costing practices align with organizational standards and reflect current business realities.
Process Improvement and Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, scope, and accuracy within the reporting and analytics function. Implement best practices and technology enhancements to promote continuous improvement and scalability in a growth-oriented phase.
Qualifications And Experience
8 to 12 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
Strong technical proficiency in SAP (preferably S/4 Hana) environment and advanced Excel skills.
Deep analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial data and transform it into clear, impactful business insights.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders across multiple departments.
A proactive, curious mindset with a dedication to enhancing reporting and analytics processes during periods of organizational growth.
Preferred educational background includes MSc in Accounting & Finance, MBA in Finance, or professional certifications such as CMA, ACCA, or CPA.
