This role supports the Global Commercial Operations - Digital, Technology and Innovation capability team, focusing on the ELMAC Region (Europe, Latin America, Canada and Africa). The Scrum Master facilitates Agile practices and ensures effective sprint planning, execution, and delivery of features, improvements, validations, and data integration that drive value for business users.What you will doJoin the Global Commercial Operations - Digital, Technology and Innovation capability team; support technology roadmap development across multiple value streams.Facilitate Agile events including stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, demos, and backlog refinement to promote team collaboration.Coach the team in Agile frameworks and practices; work with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog to deliver high-value outcomes aligned with business objectives.Resolve conflicts and remove impediments; escalate risks and cross-team dependencies when needed.Promote continuous improvement, lead retrospectives, encourage innovation, and foster Agile engineering practices and DevOps culture.Monitor and report progress to ensure transparency and alignment with sprint goals and team objectives.Support delivery acceleration by helping teams reach higher levels of Scrum maturity; participate in cross-team ceremonies and Program Increment (PI) planning to align with Agile Release Train (ART) objectives.What we expect of you Basic Qualifications and Experience :Master's degree in computer science or engineering with 1–3 years of relevant experience, orBachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience, orDiploma with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experienceFunctional Skills :Certified Scrum Master or SAFe Scrum Master or similar (mandatory)Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SAFeExperience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Jira Align)Experience guiding teams through Agile events and ensuring adherence to practicesAdept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniquesExcellent problem-solving skills with a passion for data-driven challengesCollaborative spirit and strong communication for cross-functional teamsGood understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevOps/Test Automation in software deliveryCertified SAFe Practitioner (preferred)Soft Skills :Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsAbility to work effectively with global, virtual teamsHigh initiative and self-motivation; ability to manage multiple prioritiesTeam-oriented with a focus on achieving team goalsStrong time and task management to meet project timelines and ensure qualityPassion for applying technology to make a real-world impactFluency in EnglishThis position seeks a highly motivated individual ready to contribute to and lead in an Agile environment, focusing on delivering value and fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams.What you can expect We care about teammates' well-being and growth.Work That Matters– Build tech that accelerates scientific breakthroughs and helps patients worldwide.Modern Tech Stack– Cloud-first, automation-focused, AI-powered.Global Scale, Agile Mindset– Collaborate across continents in nimble, high-impact teams.Continuous Learning– Certifications, trainings, mentorship, and career mobility.AMGEN Total Rewards Plan– Comprehensive benefits in healthcare, finance, and well-being.Flexibility– Hybrid work model with time split between Lisbon office and remote work.Apply now Objects in your future are closer than they appear.
