Senior Red Team Engineer – Cyber Security Senior Engineer 1Location: Lisbon, PortugalAbout the Team
The Flutter UKI Cyber Security Team is a wide security team with over 100 people, covering a broad spectrum of security expertise. Its goal is to ensure that proper security controls protect the businesses against threats. The Red Team Engineer will be part of the Security Testing team.ResponsibilitiesAct as a proactive infosec staff member with an offensive mindset, focused on identifying and demonstrating realistic high‐impact attack scenarios.Design and execute real cyber‐attacks against multiple targets to achieve predefined goals.Prepare technical and business‐oriented reports describing performed exercises, results and mitigation recommendations, formatted for both technical and non‐technical llaborate with multiple teams and help owners understand identified vulnerabilities and design mitigation plans.Lead well‐defined and planned red team exercises for several months, simulating real threat‐actor activities.Stay up to date with new vulnerabilities and attacking techniques.QualificationsMinimum 3 years experience in offensive security roles (red team, penetration testing, security research, bug bounty hunting, or similar).Motivation and technical skills to use threat‐modelling methodologies and the MITRE ATT&CK framework to design red‐team exercises.Soft skills to test security controls proactively and engage with stakeholders (technical and non‐technical) with a collaborative mindset.Experience in elaborating self‐explanatory red‐team reports and presenting them to senior stakeholders, including the CISO.Wide security knowledge to provide recommendations to development and infrastructure teams on mitigation solutions.Proactive attitude to keep up with the latest offensive techniques and vulnerabilities, and promote self‐improvement.Desired AttributesGood written and verbal communication skills – English language mandatory.Low ego, team player focused on maximizing team and departmental performance.Agile, resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely llaborative, shares knowledge and seeks to expand other team members' security skills and mindset.Responsible, capable of focusing and working proactively without supervision.Equal Opportunities
