Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as a project management partner: ensure the day-to-day management of the project through assignment of project work, mobilisation of required resources, and monitoring and reporting on key dimensions (e.g., work packages completion, risks, opportunities, issues, schedule, budget). Manage delivery in line with the project sponsors' expectations, tolerances, timings, and expected business benefits. Manage timely decision processes.
2. Project Governance: design and ensure adherence to the established project governance.
3. Establish partnerships with stakeholders: engage with stakeholders in complex environments. Propose alternative ways of working or strategies whenever relevant to improve project outcomes.
4. Lead a Project Team: coach, support, energize, and engage the project team. Ensure roles and responsibilities are communicated, with regular feedback on performance.
5. Closing a Project: ensure successful delivery of key project packages, capture lessons learned, and review whether objectives and business case assumptions have been achieved.
6. Project management tools and practices: champion the application of project management practices, standards, methodologies, tools, and templates. Coach team members on key practices. Build and maintain reference methods, standards, tools, and templates.
7. Coach and Develop: support junior members in developing project management skills.
8. Ensure quality standards: for key project deliverables, timely milestones, budget accuracy, and risk management plans.
Success Measures:
* Deliverables of the project team
* Project team delivery aligned with business objectives, quality standards, and schedule
* Consistent application of standards, methodologies, and templates
* Successful project closure approved by steering committee
* Aligned input to the steering committee
Business case and project control documents: issues, R&O, change requests, budget, etc.
* Stage reviews and approvals, including documentation on decisions taken on raised exceptions
* Engagement with key project stakeholders and team members
Continuous Improvement and Development:
* Identify ways to eliminate waste and boost team performance
* Actively coach and develop junior team members
* Deepen knowledge as per the capability matrix
* Contribute to people talent cycle
* Provide input into each team member’s PDP
Critical Experiences:
* Minimum 4 years experience in project management
* Experience leading teams, including budget and personnel responsibilities, with a track record in developing people
* Certification and ability to coach in project management practices (e.g., Waterfall, Agile)
* Managing cultural diversity and cooperating effectively across cultures
* Operate in a matrix organization, leveraging influencing skills
* Reliable, adaptable, digitally agile, customer-centric, innovative, result-focused
