Project Director - Critical Infrastructure (Portugal) Join a market-leading main contractor delivering major critical infrastructure projects across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and the USA. We are seeking a Project Director to take ownership of high-profile projects in Portugal. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring strategic oversight, operational excellence, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure flawless execution of time-sensitive, mission-critical developments. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of major infrastructure projects (data centers, cable landing stations, critical facilities) from planning through to completion. Define and drive project strategies, ensuring alignment with client and business objectives. Oversee programme delivery, budgets, and risk management at every stage. Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, contractors, and suppliers. Ensure compliance with the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Act as the senior client interface, maintaining trusted relationships with all stakeholders. Champion innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence across projects. Qualifications 10+ years' experience in large-scale construction project management, with at least 5 in a senior leadership or Project Director role. Proven track record in delivering complex projects such as data centers, cable landing stations, or mission-critical facilities. Strong knowledge of critical MEP systems, power infrastructure, and high-tech build environments. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering. Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or Data Center Specialist) advantageous. Experience delivering projects across multiple European locations. Outstanding leadership, commercial, and communication skills.
