About the job
The FOC Senior Controller is responsible for the creation, implementing and development of global controls across all asset classes by performing 1st line of defense processes for different regulatory bodies and regulations, such as miFID II, FED, CFTC, Volcker, EMIR, etc. The FOC team was created in 2018 when it was identified that after recent changes in the regulatory landscape there was a further requirement to develop and enhance Regulatory and Internal Controls
Your Main Activities Are
Contribute to a strong and resilient control framework within BNP Paribas
Identify and analyse several financial transactions to discover potential breaches and proposing possible solutions
Strengthen and develop the current controls so they are more accurate and efficient
Build and create new controls as necessary, according to new regulatory requirements
Actively take part in or lead projects that relate to the area
Contribute towards identifying required developments to improve efficiency and implement them
Confidence in the setup of meetings and presenting at high level meetings
Oversee ad-hoc queries arising from Management, Business, within a Global Remit
Onboard, train and mentor less senior team members whenever necessary
Profile and Skills to Success
Master's Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
From 3 to 4 years of experience in Banking and Financial Operations
Fluency in English
Knowledge in Transversal Financial Markets
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, namely Excel
Good communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to collaborate effectively
Ability to manage a project and to deliver
Ability to develop and adapt a process
