As the company continues to expand its project pipeline, Ferbgás is looking for aCommunity Engagement Managerto help strengthen local stakeholder alignment, support project development, and contribute to the successful execution of its projects on the ground.Role PurposeThe Community Engagement Manager will lead Ferbgás' approach to stakeholder engagement and local relationship management across the project portfolio.The role will focus primarily onSocial License to Operate, including engagement with municipalities, local communities, and other relevant stakeholders, while also supporting project-related communication and local positioning initiatives.This is not a pure marketing role.
It is a strategic, execution-focused position at the intersection of project development, stakeholder management, and communication.Key ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Engagement and Local Interface Lead stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies across Ferbgás projects Build and manage relationships with municipalities, local communities, and relevant stakeholders Identify social and institutional risks early and define mitigation actions Support project teams in structuring local positioning and stakeholder engagement plans Organize local meetings, clarification sessions, and site visits Coordinate project-level engagement activities in priority geographiesProject Communication and Positioning Support the preparation of stakeholder-facing materials, presentations, and explanatory content Coordinate project-related communication tools, including local information materials and project microsites Help structure project messaging in a clear, transparent, and locally credible way Coordinate external advisors, communication partners, or agencies where needed Contribute to the consistency of Ferbgás' institutional positioning across projectsInternal Capability Building Help develop a repeatable internal playbook for stakeholder engagement across the portfolio Track key interactions, concerns raised, actions taken, and next steps by project Support management with structured reporting on social and stakeholder-related topicsProfile 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, community relations, marketing, infrastructure, energy, environment, or similar fields Higher education degree is valued Relevant practical experience will be considered equally important Strong ability to engage credibly with municipalities and local stakeholders Excellent communication and relationship management skills Strong writing and presentation skills Pragmatic, autonomous, and execution-oriented mindset Comfortable operating on the ground, close to project realities Ability to combine structured thinking with practical action Fluency in Portuguese and English, Spanish is a mustWhat We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of: local stakeholder management municipal engagement project development social risk mitigation project-related communicationThis role is ideal for a profile that combines strong interpersonal skills with the ability to structure messages, materials, and engagement processes in a practical and credible way.Why Join FerbgásFerbgás is building one of the most relevant biomethane platforms in Portugal, with a growing portfolio and a clear role in the energy transition and circular economy.
