Our Client are building a fast-growing organization and are looking for a
Supply Chain & Planning team lead
who will establish and scale the supply chain, planning, and procurement functions from the ground up, supporting both client programs and internal product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management
· Establish and develop supply chains for: industrialization and serial production of client products, R&D, prototyping, pilot and serial production of internal products;
· Identify, qualify, and develop local and international suppliers;
· Manage sourcing, procurement, and supplier contracts;
· Lead negotiations on pricing, lead times, capacity, and commercial terms;
· Develop risk mitigation strategies (dual sourcing, alternatives, contingency planning);
· Manage relationships with contract manufacturers and outsourcing partners.
Planning & Material Management
· Build and own the planning function from an early-stage setup to a scalable operation;
· Establish material, production, and capacity planning processes;
· Implement and manage MRP processes, inventory policies, and stock levels;
· Synchronise R&D, industrialization, and serial production planning;
· Support smooth transitions:
· Prototype → pilot → serial / mass production;
· Monitor demand, supply constraints, and delivery performance.
Industrialization of Client Products
· Actively support industrialization projects for customer products;
· Participate in transfer from R&D to production (NPI);
· Review and optimize BOMs, lead times, and cost structures;
· Support engineering changes (ECO/ECN) from a supply chain perspective;
· Ensure supply readiness for customer programs.
Team Building & Leadership
· Build, develop, and lead the supply chain organization, including:
· Procurement specialists;
· Planners;
· Logistics and supplier coordination roles (as the company scales);
· Define roles, responsibilities, and workflows within the supply chain and planning teams;
· Coach and develop team members in line with company growth;
· Establish best practices, KPIs, and performance management.
Cross-Functional & Systems Integration
· Work closely with R&D, engineering, production, quality, and program management teams;
· Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ERP / MRP systems;
· Contribute to certification, compliance, and audit readiness in cooperation with quality teams.
Strategic Development:
· Define and evolve the company's supply chain and planning strategy;
· Prepare the organization for volume growth and increased complexity;
· Balance priorities between multiple client programs and internal product development.
Profile:
· 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or planning roles;
· Experience in high-tech, electronics, mechatronics, robotics, aerospace, or complex industrial systems;
· Proven experience with product industrialization and serial production ramp-up;
· Experience working with international suppliers and contract manufacturers;
· Strong understanding of MRP, S&OP, inventory management;
· Strong analytical and structured thinking;
· Ability to operate in a fast-growing, dynamic environment;
· Strong negotiation and supplier management skills;
· Proven ability to build processes and teams from scratch;
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
· English (working language).
This role offers a key role in building the supply chain and planning functions from the ground up, exposure to both client industrialization programs and internal product development, high level of ownership and influence on business outcomes.
