Cruise operations specialist

(Remote for Portugal residents)

We are looking for an experienced specialist to join our Product Processing Team. Our ideal candidate is someone who holds a growth mindset and can act in parallel as both an individual contributor and team collaborator. The primary function of this role will be supporting our Product Operations Team and Product Owners, focused on fare code and promotion management, booking validation, and fulfillment. This role will support daily operations, ensuring accurate processing of cruise bookings, various product transactions, manual orders, and promotions.

Responsibilities:

* Handle booking confirmations, including checks for cruise line receipts, payment emails, and customer payment reconciliations
* Perform daily validation of cruise bookings, including payment processing (deposits, final payments, errors, refunds, etc.), and commission tracking
* Ensure fulfillment of stacked promotions and value adds
* Maintain cruise inventory and marketplace content
* Maintain deep knowledge of Cruise Line promotion details and differentiating between External and Internal offerings, including how said offerings interact
* Support content management initiatives for our marketplace and booking engine
* Collaborate with Product Operations Leadership, Product Owners, and Processing Team Lead to enhance workflows, reporting, and post-purchase value delivery to members
* Manage fare codes, promotions, locating and validating value within our product offerings

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 1 year proven experience in business operations, booking management, or related travel industry roles
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Fluent in English)
* Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and proficient in navigating various computer programs and internal systems
* Ability to troubleshoot common issues, identify process gaps and issues when present, and manage complex scenarios professionally
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring operational processes are followed accurately
* Ability to manage changing priorities and adapt to new processes or systems
* Ability to work with urgency to deliver tasks and reports on time, ensuring operational success
* Experience with travel industry booking engines (preferred)*
* Strong understanding of fare codes, cruise promotions, payment reconciliations, and the cruise line industry (preferred)*

Schedule

* Afternoon/Evening schedules to align with US operational hours

Office Location

* Guia, Albufeira 8200
* Periodic site visits required as scheduled by management

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
