Job Description
We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our multidisciplinary agile product team. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and enhancing our leading Miles Enterprise solution. This involves translating domain models into service architectures, collaborating with internal API consumers, integrating with external systems, and developing scalable solutions using modern development and DevOps practices.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They should be proficient in Java, PostgreSQL, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with other technologies such as Angular, Kafka, and GitHub Actions would be an asset.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience as a backend engineer developing scalable production-ready solutions using the Java stack
* Experience implementing RESTful APIs within microservice architectures
* Expertise in SQL (specifically PostgreSQL) is essential; familiarity with other NoSQL datastores is a plus
* Proficiency in DevOps with tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
* Experience with containerization using Docker or Podman, and orchestration using Kubernetes
