We are looking for a DevOps/Platform Engineer to build and operate cloud infrastructure and AI-enabled services on AWS. You will own the end-to-end platform for containerized workloads and LLM applications powered by Amazon Bedrock, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations. You'll also help teams design, containerize, deploy, and observe FastAPI services that power APIs and AI workloads. You will work across Infrastructure as Code (CDK), we don't use Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, security, and cost optimization, while collaborating closely with data, ML, and product teams.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role:
* Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK and best-practice constructs.
* Operate containerized services with Docker and Fargate, including provisioning, scaling, and security.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines for applications, infrastructure, and data pipelines, including automated tests and deployments.
* Run and operate GenAI services on Amazon Bedrock, including RAG pipelines and Observability for LLMs.
* Develop and manage integrations, databases, and search systems to support AI workflows, including vector databases and MCP integrations.
* Implement and manage resilient networking and security architectures, including VPCs, secrets management, and observability tools like CloudWatch.
* Collaborate with teams to optimize cost and performance, write clear documentation, and standardize environments for streamlined releases.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:
* 4+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering supporting production systems, including hands-on experience with AWS (core services: IAM, VPC, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, KMS, Secrets Manager).
* Strong proficiency in programming languages, including TypeScript and Python, with experience in data modelling with Pydantic and practical experience authoring AWS CDK stacks.
* Production experience with containerization and GitOps workflows, including Docker and Gitlab CI/CD.
* Experience building or operating GenAI applications, ideally on Amazon Bedrock (LLM orchestration, guardrails, prompt/version management), with practical RAG knowledge: data ingestion, embeddings, vector stores, retrieval ranking, and evaluation.
* Practical Data engineering and analysis knowledge, including GlueJobs, Spark, StepFunctions, Athena, QuickSuite, and QuickSight.
* Solid experience in CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and configuration management, with a strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity (IAM policies, least privilege, RBAC, service accounts).
* Excellent technical skills, including Linux systems fundamentals, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, with strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
