Reliable Supply Chain Specialist
We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Vendor Planner. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth delivery of materials and goods.
About the Job
The Vendor Planner will be responsible for managing proactive communication with suppliers, ensuring accurate tracking of materials, and timely ASN submissions. They will also monitor demand vs. coverage for raw materials, maintain inventory levels in line with defined targets, and compare customer needs with purchasing requirements through SAP transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage supplier relationships via EDI or Web EDI to ensure accurate material tracking and timely ASN submissions.
* Maintain inventory levels by monitoring demand vs. coverage for raw materials and comparing customer needs with purchasing requirements.
* Configure SAP settings for each material and supplier, including MOQ, transit time, rounding value, planning calendar, and transport terms.
* Coordinate material pickup requests and follow up with the Transportation team.
* Ensure timely receipt of purchase orders and correct quantities, following up with the Warehouse team until production lines are fully supplied.
* Identify, anticipate, and mitigate supply risks or issues using ERP functionalities.
* Perform regular inventory checks to verify ERP stock accuracy.
* Evaluate supplier delivery performance monthly through on-time delivery reporting.
* Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on managing materials for new projects not yet in SOP.
* Maintain compliance with agreed transit times with contracted transport companies.
* Optimize material in transit to prevent excess inventory negatively impacting operational efficiency.
* Develop a culture characterized by good professional ethics and employee involvement.
* Comply with environmental, health, and safety standards.
* Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A technical course (level 5) or degree in Supply Chain Management, Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (MM/PP modules).
* Solid understanding of logistics processes, inventory management, and production planning.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience with EDI/Web EDI platforms is highly desirable.
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools.
* Familiarity with inventory management and logistics processes.
* Availability and willingness to undertake mandatory training.
* Strong conflict management and problem-solving abilities.
* Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
