Role Description
This is a full-time role for a General Manager based in Lisbon, Portugal, with partial flexibility for remote work.
The General Manager will:
oversee daily operations, lead a dynamic team,
maintain relationships with landlords and tenants.
Ensure the smooth management of properties across Lisbon, Faro, and Albufeira
Implement and optimize business strategies
Coordinate with maintenance, cleaning, reservations, quality control, and administrative departments
Drive operational excellence and ensure the highest service standards
This role requires a proactive leader capable of bringing structure, stability, and efficiency to a fast-moving organization.
Responsibilities include :
Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams
Develop and execute strategic and operational plans
Guarantee that all company operations and properties comply with Tourism of Portugal legislation, AL licensing rules, and recognized industry standards for tourist accommodation
Collaborate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to guarantee property quality
Manage budgets, operational costs, and resource allocation
Improve processes, SOPs, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency
Resolve escalated issues and operational challenges quickly and professionally
Support the onboarding of new properties and launches of new buildings
Report directly to the CEO with clarity, structure, and forward-thinking insights ensuring the smooth management of properties,
Qualifications
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience motivating and guiding diverse teams
Proven experience in property management, hospitality, or operations
Knowledge of financial planning and operational strategy
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with short-term and long-term rental markets (Portugal preferred)
Proficiency with property management tools and operational software
Fluency in Portuguese and English (mandatory);
additional languages are a plus Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred)
