About the role
We are seeking an experienced Camunda DevOps Lead to drive the automation, reliability, and operational excellence of our enterprise Camunda platform. You will lead the implementation of scalable DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, cloud-native infrastructure, and platform engineering capabilities supporting Camunda-based solutions across multiple environments.
Working closely with architects, cloud teams, product owners, and engineering squads, you will enable secure, reliable, and efficient platform operations while driving DevOps best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Platform Engineering
* Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, testing, and deployments.
* Own the end-to-end DevOps lifecycle, including environment provisioning, release governance, and production operations.
* Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
* Build and maintain scalable, cloud-ready platform infrastructure aligned with enterprise standards.
* Develop self-service automation tooling to improve developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.
Reliability, Monitoring & Security
* Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability frameworks to ensure platform reliability and rapid incident response.
* Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive issue resolution for mission-critical systems.
* Embed security and compliance controls into pipelines, infrastructure, and operational processes.
Leadership & Collaboration
* Partner with architects, cloud teams, product owners, and engineering squads to align DevOps capabilities with business and technical goals.
* Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to DevOps engineers and development teams.
* Establish DevOps standards, reusable frameworks, and operational best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a DevOps Lead, Platform Engineering, or SRE leadership role.
* Strong expertise in:
* CI/CD automation
* Kubernetes and containerized workloads
* Cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code
* GitOps and DevOps tooling
* Monitoring and observability platforms
* Experience deploying and supporting Camunda platforms in enterprise environments.
* Strong understanding of security, scalability, resilience, and high-availability architectures.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Camunda BPM and workflow orchestration platforms.
* Background in Java or backend engineering technologies.
* Experience working within large regulated enterprises (e.g., financial services).
* Cloud or Kubernetes certifications are advantageous.
