Role: Data Engineer
About the Role: We are seeking a Data Engineer with 3-4 years of experience to help build and implement our educational data hub. This foundational platform will power our AI-driven product roadmap, enabling model fine-tuning, personalized learning recommendations, and predictive learning pathways. The ideal candidate will work closely with our AI and product teams to create scalable data infrastructure that transforms educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines that support model training/fine-tuning workflows
- Build data streams that capture learner journeys and interactions for recommendation engines
- Develop data structures optimized for predictive analytics on learning behaviors and outcomes
- Create efficient ETL processes that transform educational content into model-ready formats
- Implement data storage solutions that support both public and private content processing
- Collaborate with AI engineers to optimize data accessibility for personalization algorithms
- Support the development of analytics frameworks for measuring learning pathway effectiveness
- Help establish data governance practices that ensure security and compliance across educational sectors
Required Qualifications
- 3-4 years of professional experience in data engineering roles
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience with data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Databricks, or similar)
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data processing libraries
- Knowledge of ETL design patterns and best practices
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks)
- Familiarity with vector databases and embedding storage solutions
- Knowledge of data structures that support machine learning workflows
- Experience with recommendation systems and personalization engines
- Understanding of educational data models and learning analytics
- Experience working with predictive modeling data requirements
- Knowledge of data security requirements in educational contexts
Compensation
- Salary range: €40,000 - €60,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
